» The New Measuring System for Big Game, Small Game, Game Birds and Fish that gives credit for everything they grow.

» We give the highest score possible with No Deductions. This means that your Trophy will get credit for the true total growth.

» The most symmetrical Antlers usually grow on younger animals. ABGFR promotes the harvesting of larger, older animals with good game management practices. The ABGFR system does not penalize an older animal for growing extra abnormal points. In fact these end up being a reward as they do not lower a Typical score and they do increase a Non Typical score.

» If you have harvested a Trophy of any kind, have it measured by an ABGFR Official Scorer and we can enter it in the all time Record Book?

» We have a system for measuring everything from Whitetails and other big game to Turkeys, Pheasants and even Turtles and Alligators.

» There are three easy ways to enter your Trophy.
1. You can contact one of our Official Scorers to have your Big Game Animal Measured.
2. If your Trophy has already been measured, you can send us a copy of the score sheet from any another system and we will convert it over to our scoring method.
3. Small Game, Turkey’s, Pheasants and Fish can be entered by the hunter or angler by following the instructions on the score sheet.

» Score sheets can be printed from our website for your use. Just fill it out and send it in with a picture if available and the fee listed on the bottom of the score sheet.

ABGFR Measures all Game Animals and Fish! If you can hunt or fish it, you can enter it in the Record Book.

ABGFR Promotes Conservation! We donate a portion of every Record Book Entry to many outdoor programs.

No Deductions on Big Game Animals! All Big Game Animals get credit for everything they grow.

No Dry Down or Waiting Periods to have your Animal Measured! You can have your Animal measured as soon as you harvest it. The score then reflects just what the Animal was like when you harvested it.

Separate Categories for all Weapons! We have Categories for all types of Weapons: Rifle, Muzzleloader, Shotgun, Hand Gun, Compound Bow, Cross Bow, and Recurve/Long Bow. Example: Hand Gun hunters do not compete with Rifle hunters.

Categories for Split Skulls, Broken Antlers, Horns and Shed Antlers! We will put Split Skulls and Broken Antlers back together and measure them for the Record Book.

Separate Categories for Female Horns, Skulls and some Birds! Most females grow smaller horns and skulls so we have added separate categories for them including turkeys and pheasants.

Grand Slam Awards for Multiple Species of Animals and Fish! If you harvest all the Sub Species of an animal or fish, you can enter them in a Special Slam Award Category. Example: all 4 turkeys – Eastern, Merriam, Rio Grand and Osceola. There are 4 deer, 5 caribou, 3 moose, 4 sheep, 4 trout and 4 bass. As long as you get all the animals or fish in a Sub Species and you enter them in the ABGFR Record Book, you qualify for a Special Grand Slam Award.

Hunters and Anglers can enter Small Game, Game Birds and Fish themselves! Just follow the information on the score sheet and send it in. We have records for turkeys, pheasants, small game animals, other game birds and fish.
